We arrange our family transports around your dates and schedules.


With our private family transports, we transport only one family of pets at a time. So your pets will never be combined with other peoples pets. This makes staying at motels much easier for all. Dogs really love this. It's fun for them. But most importantly, they are not confined to a crate for the entire journey. They get to stretch out at night. With other companies that do individual pets, a transport can take up to 7 to10 days.

We drive approximately 15 hours a day and sleep in pet friendly motels at night. Your dogs get one bed and we get the other. Cats are kept in their crates for the entire transport. Sorry, but we find it is safer and less stressful for them this way. So, for cross country moves please allow them an intermediate size crate. They are roomy and they accommodate a full size litter box.

To set up your family transport we like to have at least a 1 month notice. Pickup will generally be in the early AM, as we like to get a good nights rest before the transport begins. The transport will take 1 to 4 days, depending on the miles involved. Coast to coast transports usually take 4 days Time estimate is most always accurate as long as weather conditions are being cooperative.

We use a Tom Tom Go BRAND GPS system in all of our vans and SUV's. Since we offer door to door service, this comes in very handy. We'll find you even if you live on a remote dirt road out in the middle of nowhere.

Upon pick up of your pets, we will program our GPS system with your delivery address. By doing this, we will then be able to give you the exact time of our arrival. Our drivers will stay in touch with you by phone throughout your pets entire journey to relieve your anxiety. And will call you or the person responsible at the other end of the transport if we are delayed due to traffic or weather. Aside from that, you can count on your delivery time and plan your day accordingly. A 1/2 hour delivery window is all that is needed.

Upon departure, please have all of your pets documentation. This includes health and immunization records and also a current health certificate. This health certificate is required by the USDA and it cannot be older than 30 days prior to your scheduled transport. This paperwork travels with your pet.

Also include all instructions of medications and special diets that your pet might require. We administer all medication free of charge. If shots are required, I personally will do your trip as I am also a licensed veterinarian technician.

 

Your transport agreement/contract and emergency care form will be emailed or faxed to you once we receive your deposit or other arrangements have been made.

 

We ask that you provide your own food as we do not want to upset your pets' system. Also something with your scent helps your kids feel less abandoned.

We will provide bedding, fresh spring water, collars, leashes, bowls, litter, litter boxes, chew toys and treats.

INSURANCE


We take the utmost precautions to provide the safest care possible in transporting your animals. Our drivers/attendants are licensed and bonded, and have taken defensive driving training courses. We have never had an accident but they can happen. We provide insurance of $100.00 per carrier. Additional insurance to insure your animal can be purchased at your request. But I am proud to say that TLC has never lost a pet, gotten into an accident or had a pet get sick while in our care.

 
PAYMENT

A deposit of $100 is required to book your dates for transport. This can be done through PAY PAL. This deposit is non refundable upon cancellation. You are free to reschedule if the need arises with no penalty.

Full payment must be received and approved 10 days prior to your family transport.

Credit Card, Certified Check, and Postal Money Order are accepted forms of payment. Personal checks are also accepted and preferred. Please allow 10 business days.

In the event you find the need to reschedule your transport 10 days or less prior to your transport date, a 5% rescheduling fee will apply.

Cancellations up to 1 week prior to your transport being DISPATCHED FROM ITS' BASE OF ORIGIN will result in a 10% cancellation fee of the total transport cost. Once transport has been dispatched from its' base of origin, cancellation will result in absolutely no refund.
